Ride Start: Westhaven parking lot — 1025 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin 37064
On most Sundays, we ride out Boyd Mill and then take the tough climb up Parker Branch. At the end of that road, various groups form for different distances and routes. It is easy to do a 25- or 30-mile route, although most regular riders will add miles along the way.
What to Know:
The Sunday ride with the HBC is less formal than other rides, with groups self-organizing at the start based on pace and intended difference. During prime season, most groups will go 30 to 50 miles.
At the ride start we will establish the approximate distance that various groups intend to ride. If you are unfamiliar with the Sunday ride (or a guest rider), we suggest you get there with ample time to check in with the ride leader and find a group to ride with.
There is no official sweeper on Sunday rides, given the nature of the group splitting into smaller sub-groups.
The most standard 40-mile route is linked below for any rider who feels they need a cue sheet. Note that this doesn’t mean that any other group will be planning on following this route, however.
