For this Saturday Jerry Franks has another exploratory ride for us on the east side. Please note that Jerry will lead the group heading out at 7:00 A.M. Another group will leave at 8:00. While some of the roads are among our favorites, there are a couple of interesting detours and some seldom-ridden roads down in Marshall County. The route is 53 miles. Jerry points out these highlights:
HIGHLIGHTS
Saddle Springs east going out, Saddle Springs west coming home
New pavement on Smithson
Picturesque ride down Doody
New roads (to some) - Railroad Road & Fuller
The always challenging Choctaw
Great fast ride down Gosey Hill
Rest Stops at 15 mile at Bethesda, 30 mile at Holt's Corner, 39 mile at Bethesda (masks required)
Important direction - Must cross over Horton Hwy. at Holt's Corner to go over rail tracks to get to Railroad Road!
Jerry asks the 7:00 riders to print or upload their cue sheet. Larry will have some available for the 8:00 group.
Here's the cue sheet:
