Deliverance Ride!

This Saturday, Durk Peterson will lead off our Polar Bear Season (although it's supposed to be nice and warm that day) with one of our most adventurous regular routes - down into banjo country with a 50-mile route! It starts at Hillsboro School (along with the Short route of 38 miles) and takes Leipers Creek and Sulphur Springs up to Theta and then Snow Creek down to Santa Fe for the rest stop at mile 16.6 From there it launches into some quite remote country that does have an unusual feel to it! Then it returns to more familiar territory by Tom Fitzgerald and Gaskill Branch to Chestnut Ridge and Skelley. Meanwhile, the Short route leaves the rest stop, goes through the village of Santa Fe, up and down Fly Road, up Fly Hollow, and back in on the Old Trace. Here are the maps and cue sheets:
