Buckle Up!
Trinity Park (Cecil Lewis Park), 3680 North Chapel Road, Franklin 37067

Join us this Saturday for a choice of eastside routes, including the opportunity to ride a Century with your HBC friends.  With no Columbia Scarecrow ride this season we decided to offer our own alternative, using the well tested roads down to Bell Buckle.  As well as the 100 we are also offering 54 and 38 options, plus Bob Whitmer will be leading the Collegial ride option on the short route

The Century route has its first stop at 47 miles at Bell Buckle, so make sure you can carry plenty of fluids and snacks.  This rest stop offers a choice of gas station or coffee shop, plus a good photo opportunity at the Bell Buckle mural.  On the route back we stop at Eagleville at 72 miles with more coffee options as well as the Dollar General.  If this is your first century expect the pace to be more relaxed and the rest stops a little longer than a normal HBC ride.  Tony Pile will be sweeping the route and carrying as many tools, tubes, and emergency snacks as he can manage, but please check your bike before the ride and remember the Boy Scout motto!

The 58-mile option stays with the long route for 21 miles and also stops at Eagleville, before returning via Patterson Road and Rudderville.  The 38-mile route uses the same route as the 54-mile route but short cuts the southeast section using Hill Road.  Bob's Collegial ride option will have a more relaxed 14-15 mph pace with re-grouping as required.

The weather forecast currently looks good, with clear skies and no wind, so perfect for a ride, whatever the distance!
