Cees the Day! - Creekside, Cheatham Springs, Cool Springs
Creekside Elementary School, 4239 Gosey Hill Road, Franklin 37067

For this Saturday, Marlene Cheatham will start us off at a new location on the east side -- Creekside Elementary School.  It should be easy for most everyone to locate, since the school is on fabled Gosey Hill Road, site of much Tuesday night pain over the years!  Starting from there lets us reach some fun, traffic-free roads.  The biggest climb is Cheatham Springs, which Marlene likes both because of the name and its rural, shady character, with a challenging climb and fun descent!

There are options of 49 and 33 miles.  A few weeks ago there was an aggressive German Shepherd at the house at the corner of Patterson and Coleman Hill roads, so watch out there.  The Long route goes by Patterson Baptist Church, so we'll need to be cautious at the turn by the church. 

The Long route has a rest stop at Eagleville's Dollar General Store or coffee shop and another optional stop towards the end at the Bethesda store  The Short route rest stop is also in Eagleville.  These routes will start at 7:30.

We continue our Saturday Collegial Ride option, which will start at 8:00.  This ride is again drawing very nice turnouts.  The ride takes a shorter course for those who like to proceed at a bit calmer pace, led by experienced leaders who make sure everyone is on course, and with regrouping when appropriate.  This Saturday Amy Crownover will lead the Collegial option at a 14-16 mph pace on the 33-mile Short route.
