Sunday, Feb. 25 - Starting time CHANGED to 10:00 A.M.
HBC Sunday Ride!
Westhaven parking lot, 1025 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin 37064 - take Hwy. 96 west from Franklin, turn left on Westhaven Blvd. at the traffic light, veer right onto State Blvd., and then take the very first left into the parking lot.
We will continue riding from Westhaven in the cooler weather. Here is a map to guide you to the parking lot at Westhaven. Westhaven Blvd. is directly across Hwy. 96 from the end of Old Charlotte at the big sign for Gentry Farm. There's a traffic light at that intersection.

It's supposed to be in the 20's Saturday night, so we've moved the starting time an hour later than usual for Sunday. But then the day should warm up nicely. On most Sundays, we ride out Boyd Mill and then take the tough climb up Parker Branch. At the end of that road, various groups form for different distances and routes. It is easy to do a 25- or 30-mile route, although most regular riders will add miles along the way. At the start we will establish the approximate distance that various groups intend to ride. Many riders usually go over to Fox's Market via Hargrove, Pinewood, and Bending Chestnut for about 40 miles. For this Sunday we also offer a longer option of 51 miles that takes Old 96 to Caney Fork and Sleepy Hollow, goes out beyond Fairview, and comes home by the fun run down Cumberland and the challenging climb on Big East. It has a rest stop at mile 29 at the Fairview store.
