Bethesda to Columbia Caper!

Pete Cacchioli knows the roads on the far southside that we can reach by starting at Bethesda.  So this Saturday we'll explore down that way and make it all the way to Columbia on the 55-mile route.  The "short" route is 40 miles.  It gets way down into Maury County as well, but not as close to the county seat!  The Long route has rest stops at miles 22, 34, and 42.  The stop at mile 22 is an out-and-back on Bear Creek, but there is a big shoulder.  The routes are basically the same, with just the extra 15 miles added to the middle part of the Long route.  The split happens at mile 17.7.
