Patton-Patterson-Pulltight Backside!
Cecil Lewis Park at Trinity, 3680 North Chapel Road, Franklin 37067
For this Saturday, our President R.J. will lead a fun, fairly flat (except for Pulltight!) ride on the east side of the local cycling world. From Trinity Park we'll take Patton, Patterson, and Rocky Glade to circle around to the rest stop at mile 26 in College Grove. Then we'll do the back sides of both Owen Hill and Pulltight, which provides a stunning view from the highest point in Williamson County! The full route is 53 miles. There is a 33-mile Short option that skips the big climbs and, after the fun ups and downs of Taliaferro, has a rest stop at mile 20, also in College Grove.
We continue our plan to offer a short, no-drop ride every other Saturday, averaging 13-14 mph. Jim Keffer originated this plan but is riding across the USA for the next several weeks! So Bob Barlow will lead this ride this Saturday on the regular Short option, the Eastside Easy course listed below. So if you want to check out the Club and the territory, this option is for you!
