Hunters Bend Ride!
Hunters Bend Elementary School, 2121 Fieldstone Pkwy, Franklin 37069 (corner of Hillsboro Rd and Fieldstone Pkwy)

This route takes riders from the north side of Franklin out for a nice run on the Natchez Trace Pkwy. Once they've climbed the ramp up to the Trace, riders cross the Big Bridge and mostly descend to Pasquo. Then they travel on the nice bike lane on Temple Rd and along the lovely Old Natchez Trace. The route is 25 miles and attracts both racers and regular riders, but it is NOT for novices. Here's the cue sheet:

Fredia Barry has graciously agreed to head up the team for this ride, assisted by Scott Thurston , as well as others.  We have the following caveats:
1) Not for novice riders - The roads we ride aren’t suitable for novice riders because of heavy afternoon traffic, major intersection crossings, and few options to bail out along the routes.  While drivers in the area are generally accommodating, they expect us to know what we’re doing and not to impede them any more than necessary.  
2) No official sweep on Thursday night rides - As always, our leaders will make sure everyone who left the parking lot with our group has returned before they depart after the ride (and go looking for them if necessary); however, since we have a group of permanent leaders, Fredia and the others can't be expected to ride last all the time!
3) Every rider is responsible to know the route - Detailed maps and cue sheets will be provided with the announcement each week.
