Traditionally we start summer holiday rides in Nashville with an urban component, and in recent years we have taken advantage of the opportunity to explore the territory north of Nashville that is unknown to many club members. So this Labor Day we will leave from The Parthenon, go across the downtown Pedestrian Bridge, and make our way up Knight Road and Lickton Pike to the fun run on Union Hill Road, with a rest stop at Joelton. From there, those adventurous riders who are up for a 60-mile ride will go down Eatons Creek to Little Marrowbone Road, truly a delightful gem of our northwestern area. The Short riders can come all the way down Eatons Creek for a 43-mile journey. There's a rest stop at Joelton at mile 26 for all riders, as well as at mile 46 for the Long crew.
