Sunday, Mar. 8 - 9:00 A.M. Central Daylight Time - Sunday Polar Bear Ride - Hunters Bend Elementary School, 2121 Fieldstone Pkwy., Franklin - The Club’s most classic event is the regular Sunday Ride from Fieldstone Farms. Because of the construction on Del Rio and Old Charlotte, the HBC Board has voted in the interest of safety to experiment with some different roads. For this Sunday's Short route we'll take a moderate 31-mile course that goes on the Old Trace over to Poplar Creek before heading back. Riders may do the gradual climb on Hwy. 96 after the big Trace Bridge or utilize one of the many options from that area for a longer ride. Here's the suggested new Short route:

For some longer riders, Dr. Michael has devised the route below that explores the new Harpeth River Greenway and visits the dinosaurs on Poplar Creek. If you haven't seen the dinosaurs, they are definitely worth the effort!
Harpeth River Greenway & Dinosaurs!
During Polar Bear Season, we don't arrange for a formal sweep on Sundays, but some of the regular riders will assist any visitors and we'll make sure our riding groups watch out for each other, as we should always do anyway. We tend to break into 3 groups: A = 19-20 mph, B = 17-18 mph, and C = 15-16 mph. While we always welcome guests, visitors should have basic group riding skills and be able to average at least a 15-mph pace.
