Vision Bike Program
  • Imagine you just lost enough vision you can't enjoy the simple freedom of riding a bicycle
  • Imagine not being able to feel the wind on your face
  • The exhilaration of moving through space
  • The amazing exercise benefits of cycling
  • All the friends you've made in this sport

Imagine being a spirited younger or older person who has never had the opportunity to ride a bicycle because of a lack of vision...then someone tells you there are a group of cyclist who will put you on the back of a 'tandem' bicycle to give it a try.

Imagine No More...

Beginning in 2009 the Harpeth Bike Club has partnered with the Tennessee Association of Blind Athletes (TNABA) to provide riding opportunities for people with visual impairments.

Our club is unique...we have safe place to ride, plenty of long bikes to share and best of all...we know how to use them!

What is USABA?

The United States Association of Blind Athletes enhances the lives of blind and visually impaired people by providing the opportunity for participation in sports and physical activity.

The United States Association of Blind Athletes, a member organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is a non-profit organization that provides training for blind and visually impaired athletes for competition in nine sports. USABA members range from blind children developing sports skills to elite athletes who train for competitions such as the Paralympic Games, which continually draws more than 4,000 disabled athletes.
